I admit that the word abuse might be a little over-the-top when discussing your espresso machine’s group screens, but if you are in the business of espresso beverages, it really is important to handle them carefully. It is easy to dent and mar espresso screens and damaged screens cause inconsistent water patterns.

Here’s how to care for your screens. Each night, remember to leave your screens in place when cleaning your machine’s group(s). Afterwards, remove them to soak in a solution of espresso cleaner. Remember to follow your cleaner’s instructions. To finish, gently rub to polish while taking care to not scrub, bend or dent them.
